Eat Here:
Breakfast: The Full Send Bar and Grill is the choice spot for rib-sticking breakfasts that will keep you powered throughout the day. Before you jump on your side-by-side rental at Bear Rock, tuck into a Lumber Jack Benny with maple sausage or take your taste buds on a trip with the Pacific Coast Benny—it’s got guac!
Lunch: The Buck Rub Pub is Pittsburg’s unofficial year-round spot to dine, and not just because it’s centrally located. Why else? Food! Spiced maple wings, piled-high nachos and perfect pizzas keep this cozy gathering place packed with locals, adventurers and more.
Dinner: There’s only one location in the world that’s home to the Woodsman Steak and Mill Cove Pie: Rainbow Grille & Tavern. Voted “Best of New Hampshire,” it’s a can’t-miss spot. Pro-tip: Try to score a table next to the massive fireplace.
Drink Here:
Super Casual: The aforementioned Buck Rub Pub is our favorite post-adventure spot for rounds of drinks while you catch up with friends old and new— you’ll never be a stranger up here!
Super New: Just opened in February of 2023, 1840 pairs specialty cocktails and draft pours with Neapolitan-style pizza that is so, so delicious. It’s a great spot to cap off a day of ATV rides in New Hampshire (at least, in our corner of it!).
Super Crafty: Coös Brewing Co. offers hand-crafted hoppy IPAs and farmhouse ales like Dooryard NEIP (New England-style IPA) and Passion Puckerbrush, as well as Berliner Wiess which offers pallets a tart kick. Make sure to check their schedule before going!
Ride Here:
Diamond Ridge: Enjoy sweeping views of the Connecticut Lakes from this incredible trail.
Dixville Peak: The towering windmills atop this peak give a strangely beautiful twist to an otherwise all-natural ride.
Shatney Mountain: Overlooking Pittsburg Town Farm, riders on this trail enjoy incredible views that extend into Canada. Whether you’re on a Polaris 2-seater or 4-seater or snowmobile, you’re bound to leave awestruck.
Hike Here:
Easy: Take a more leisurely hike at Garfield Falls. Ride your sled to the base of this trail, located off of Rt. 112 in Pittsburg, and enjoy solitude and a pleasant stroll through nature.
Challenging: Higher in intensity, Table Rock has arguably the most majestic views of any hiking area, boasting beautiful vistas of Dixville Notch State Park. This time of year, make sure to bring crampons or snowshoes!
Summit: You can’t have an adventure at Bear Rock without summiting Bear Rock Mountain, our very own amazing view located in Colebrook, NH. Pro-tip: For a quick up-and-down, ride straight to the top or take a quick hike up the face.
