Meet Eric Sabean, New Hampshire Guided Tour Extraordinaire
Our newest winter guide, Eric Sabean has over 12 years of Great North Woods riding experience, and packs extensive knowledge of the trail systems for a reliable guided tour of the North Country!
A New Hampshire native, Eric graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a B.S. in environmental conservation and bridges his love for the New Hampshire outdoors with his education and belief in a sustainable outdoors.
Eric’s interpretive guide certification offers new and experienced snowmobilers a new way to appreciate their snowmobile adventures, as Eric guides them not only through the trails but through the history, ecology, and geology of the Great North Woods. And if you’re looking for even more Great North Woods adventures, Eric is also an experienced birdwatcher, fisher, and hiker, and give you those area insights only a North Country local can offer!

The Bear Rock Standard stretches beyond offering an affordable snowmobile rental experience. It means the best machines, best equipment, reliable service, and no hesitations.
For those looking to engage in off-road adventures, we know it can be intimidating when it comes to safety and liability, but at Bear Rock, we take out all the guesswork. When you rent with us, you get explorations on the latest Polaris machines, but with the peace of mind of our unique damage waiver.
Most snowmobile rental experiences require an excessive damage waiver that may mean you’ll be paying out of pocket for the entire sled should any damage be done to it. The Bear Rock damage waiver has more protections for the rider, capping rider out-of-pocket expenses to $1,000, or you can upgrade the damage waiver for an additional $20, to decrease expenses to $500.
Our reliable service goes a step further to ensure a comfortable and safe ride. All riders are equipped with the latest 2021 Polaris snowmobile models for a safe and well-tested machine ready to move you through your adventure.
To maximize an even safer experience, each machine is equipped with GPS technology, heated handlebars, and helmets with heated shields for a clearer ride through the elements.

Our new location offers the most convenient access to trails with open and free parking big enough for trucks and trailers, so visitors with their own machines can access trails easily. We’re also neighbors to Grampys & Dormans 24-hour Self-Serving Gas, so you have quick and easy fill-ups before you hit the trails.
Plus, we know one common challenge of visiting snowmobilers is forgetting vital gear! With our onsite retail location, we offer all the winter gear needed for a safe and comfortable ride, including essential protection like helmets, goggles, boots, and gloves to the gear necessary to keep you warm against the elements. From the proven protection of Klim gear to the stylish offerings of local favorite Ride 603, our retail shop can provide for any winter gear needs.
